Lula Stocch swings into the SexMex universe as Spidergirl — the kind of hero who is very much worth tracking down and absolutely worth the effort. The scene commits to the bit: a masked pursuer who has finally caught up with her after what sounds like a considerable chase, a city rooftop energy compressed into a private encounter, and Lula herself playing a version of the character that the comics have consistently undersold. She's been found, she's not particularly bothered by it, and she has her own reasons for letting this particular pursuit reach its conclusion. Lula brings a warmth and physicality to the role that makes the superhero framing genuinely fun rather than just a costume choice — she's engaged, enthusiastic, and completely in charge of how the encounter develops even within the dynamic of being "caught." The parody earns its heat the same way the best ones do: by finding a performer who plays the premise completely straight while clearly enjoying every second of it. SexMex's Spidergirl is everything the franchise should have been....
